Homefurn provides furniture, homeware, and related products through a quote-based ordering process. Products displayed on the website are subject to availability, final confirmation, and quotation approval.

2. RFQ-Based Ordering Process

Homefurn operates on a Request for Quotation (RFQ) basis.

When you place an order or submit a request through the website, this does not automatically confirm a final sale. Your submission is treated as a request for Homefurn to prepare a quotation based on the products, quantities, delivery location, and other relevant details provided.

After receiving your RFQ, Homefurn may contact you to confirm:

  • Product availability
  • Pricing
  • Delivery or collection options
  • Shipping costs
  • Lead times
  • Any additional details required to complete the quotation

A final order is only confirmed once Homefurn has issued a quotation and the customer has accepted the quotation according to the payment or approval process provided.

3. Product Information

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, images, pricing indications, sizes, colours, and specifications are as accurate as possible. However, product images and colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings, photography, supplier changes, or manufacturing differences.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by stock availability, supplier delays, courier delays, public holidays, or circumstances outside Homefurn’s control.

An order may only be processed once the required payment, deposit, or written approval has been received, depending on the terms issued by Homefurn.

Homefurn reserves the right to withhold products, delivery, or order processing until payment has cleared.

10. Availability and Lead Times

All products are subject to availability.

Some products may be sourced from suppliers or manufactured on order, which may result in varying lead times. Homefurn will make reasonable efforts to communicate expected lead times, but these are estimates and not guarantees unless specifically confirmed in writing.

If a product becomes unavailable after an RFQ or quotation has been submitted, Homefurn may offer an alternative product, revised lead time, or updated quotation.

11. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Cancellation, return, and refund terms may depend on the type of product, whether the product was custom-made, specially ordered, already dispatched, or delivered.

Where applicable, returns and refunds will be handled in line with South African consumer protection requirements. The Consumer Protection Act regulates supplier and consumer rights in relation to goods and services in South Africa.

Custom-made, specially ordered, assembled, used, damaged, or altered products may not be eligible for return unless defective or otherwise required by law.

Customers must contact Homefurn directly to request a cancellation, return, or refund. Homefurn reserves the right to inspect returned goods before approving any refund, replacement, or credit.

12. Defective or Damaged Goods

If goods are received damaged or defective, the customer must notify Homefurn as soon as reasonably possible and provide supporting information, such as photographs, order details, and a description of the issue.

Homefurn will assess the matter and may offer a repair, replacement, refund, or other suitable resolution depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Damage caused by misuse, incorrect assembly, normal wear and tear, poor maintenance, or customer negligence may not qualify for a refund or replacement.
